Frequently Asked Questions

Can I study in the USA without IELTS?

Many US universities accept TOEFL or the Duolingo English Test instead of IELTS, and some may waive the requirement in specific cases. It depends on the university and programme, so check each one before applying.

How much does it cost to study in the USA?

Tuition is roughly US$20,000–40,000 a year at public universities and US$35,000–60,000+ at private ones, plus about US$12,000–20,000 a year for living costs. The exact amount you must show is on your university’s I-20.

Which intake should I choose — Fall or Spring?

Fall has the most programmes, scholarships and assistantships. Spring can work if your documents or test scores will be ready later. We help you pick based on your timeline.

Is the GRE required for an MS in the USA?

Many universities have made the GRE optional, but some programmes still require or recommend it. A good score can help with admission and funding at some universities.

Can I work in the USA after my degree?

F-1 students may be eligible for OPT, which allows up to 12 months of work related to their field. Graduates of eligible STEM programmes may apply for a 24-month extension. Rules can change, so check current guidance.
