A valid passport is required for registration and on test day — the name on your IELTS application must exactly match your passport.
Results:
You receive an official Test Report Form (TRF). Computer-delivered tests are typically scored within 3–5 days; paper-based tests can take up to 13 days.

The test is for 2 hours & 45 minutes excluding the Speaking module. The Speaking module is for 15 minutes; hence the total duration is for 3 hours.

Frequently Asked Questions About the IELTS Exam
Is IELTS Academic harder than IELTS General Training?
Neither is inherently harder — the Listening and Speaking tests are identical. Academic Reading and Writing use more formal, academic-style texts and tasks, while General Training uses everyday and workplace material. Can I skip the Speaking test or take it another day?
No, Speaking is compulsory for a valid result. It may be scheduled on a different day or time from your Listening, Reading, and Writing session, depending on your test centre — check your confirmation email carefully.
What happens if I miss my test or Speaking slot?
Missing a scheduled session without an approved rescheduling generally means forfeiting that attempt and fee. Contact IDP or the British Council directly as soon as possible if you have a genuine emergency, as policies are set by them, not by RK Global.
Is my IELTS score accepted for the country I am applying to?

Is IELTS difficult?
IELTS is manageable with the right preparation — it tests real-world English across four skills rather than obscure vocabulary. Difficulty depends on your current English level and target band score; a diagnostic assessment is the best way to see where you stand.
How is IELTS scored?
Each of the four modules — Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking — is scored on a 1 to 9 band scale, and your overall band score is the average of all four, rounded to the nearest whole or half band.
